• HIPS is a non taxable NGO registered in Ghana, Switzerland and Germany.

  • Founded by Helene Jäger and Brigitte Honsel, HIPS aimed to give a qualified education to the children of Weija, coming from families who could not afford the school tuition, regardless of their religion.

  • The school is situated in Weija, a suburb of Accra in a rural surrounding.

  • The 201 children are instructed by Ghanaian teachers following an official education plan.

  • They receive a daily breakfast and a warm supper on side as well as school materials and uniforms.

  • All children receive a health insurance thru the project.
